Sienna is a 13 year old middle school student, who has found her passion in designing and creating lines of beautiful jewelry, each with its own unique twist!
Sienna also lives with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, or F.O.P., a rare bone condition. After breaking her leg in the spring of 2021, it didn’t heal well and Sienna began needing a wheelchair to get around. But it hasn’t slowed her down – she zips around the middle school hallways while the security guards good-naturedly threaten speeding tickets.
Creating jewelry has become a wonderful and safe outlet for her creative energy. Sienna got her start at a local business camp, the local rec center’s “Bizzy Girls” business camp. Over one week she designed two limited edition collections, “starry night” and “pink lemonade.” She was a top seller and really loved getting a taste for business, earning over $150 in profits!

To celebrate her earnings, we went shopping at her favorite local store, Dabney Lee, and began chatting with the lovely owner about her business. Dabney Lee immediately offered to host a pop-up shop. Sienna was floored! She designed a Halloween Glow collection of 100 items: necklaces, earrings and keychains that all glowed in the dark. Dabney Lee generously refused any share of proceeds and Sienna was able to donate 50% of her selling prices to ifopa.org for research to cure FOP. Our wonderful friends, family and local community came out in full force and Sienna sold out! She made $1,000 and donated $500 to the IFOPA!
